Brigham City Fire Assistant Chief Michael Young said when crews arrived, they found the semi-truck on fire. Flames were spreading from the roadway, up the hillside into heavy brush.

The semi-truck was pulling a car hauler and had been traveling eastbound toward Sardine Canyon.

Young said fire fighters initiated a quick attack to extinguish the spreading brush fire. They also extinguished the trailer and its cargo of six cars.

The fire reportedly damaged four of the six vehicles. Damage was estimated at $215,000.

Young said no injuries were reported.

Fire fighters were assisted by the Willard City Fire Department, Brigham City Police Department, Perry City Police Department, Utah Highway Patrol and Box Elder Communications Center.
