LOGAN — Logan City Police have released video footage of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run with a bicyclist Monday morning in the northwest area of Logan. The incident took place at approximately 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of 1800 N. 600 West.
The video shows the victim riding northbound along 600 West. As they approached 1800 North, a red two-door hatchback, also traveling north, came up behind and attempted to pass.
As the suspect car was alongside the cyclist, a white car turned right onto 600 West, causing the suspect to move over, striking the victim.
Police report the victim suffered injuries but was expected to be okay.
The suspect vehicle failed to stop after the collision and fled the scene.
Police released an initial photo and the video of the suspect car, in an effort to help identify the driver.
Law enforcement is also asking residents and businesses within the area to check cameras for anymore video of the crash.

This driver needs to be hammered – either for blatant disregard for others’ safety – or for near-intentional ignorance of his/her surroundings!
