LOGAN — Young adults from Logan to Nephi are being invited to Salt Lake City to attend a worldwide devotional with President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The event will be held Sunday, May 15 in the 20,000-seat Conference Center.

To encourage attendees to linger and mingle before and after the broadcast, buildings on Temple Square will be open from 3 to 9 p.m., according to church officials. These include the Relief Society Building, Assembly Hall, Tabernacle, Family History Library, Church History Museum, Church History Library, Social Hall Avenue Meetinghouse, and Brigham Park.

All young adults ages 18–30 and those in their last year of seminary within an hour-and-a-half radius of the Conference Center are encouraged to participate. The devotional will also be broadcast online.

Due to limited parking and accessibility concerns related to the construction on and around Temple Square, young adults are encouraged to carpool and mass transit.

The broadcast begins at 6 p.m. Conference Center seating opens at 4:30 p.m. Tickets will be distributed on the Conference Center plaza on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees will receive their seating assignment when they enter the Conference Center. Overflow seating will also be available in nearby locations.

After the broadcast, young adults will be invited to explore the Conference Center, including the roof, which offers views of the construction site of the ongoing renovation of the Salt Lake Temple.

“Please stop leaving the church.” – Nelson

We as a community should do something to stop this cult leader from indoctrinating the youth of our community. The intolerance and archaic made up snake oil teachings are fed like bread to pigeons (or grass to sheep). In these times common sense needs to win out over naiveté, critical thinking over blind following. This wildfire must be doused. This organization and this event are akin to child abuse!

“Kids – ignore common sense and every law of science. Don’t use your brain. Pretend with me! Oh yeah, some money would be nice, too!”

New name again, bobette? Not sure why all you libtards have to have your noses in other people’s business. I’m not even LDS and I get sick of listening to you inbred morons.
