LETTER: Bundy advocates for people’s rights

Ammon Bundy spoke last Monday evening 3/1/21 to a packed audience at the Dansante in Logan. He said it was good people and neighbors who gathered together in support of his family in 2015 that saved their lives.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is not constitutionally an arm of the military, but were militarily armed, equipped, and deployed to kill his family who stood up for their water and grazing rights, deeded them by the State of Nevada more than 100 years ago. They were told you now have to pay tribute to the federal government before you can use your state deeded rights.

Constitutionally, the federal government only has authority to control a 10-square-mile area – Washington D.C. – and only small Constitutionally enumerated enclaves within a state, but instead, own and control 51% of our Western States and 72 % of their subsurface mineral rights. Certain media labeled this peaceful, unarmed family as “insurrectionists” for asserting their rights.

The case was dismissed because the Bundy family committed no crime in claiming those rights while providing insurmountable evidence that the federal Government had severely overreached its power by trespassing, by killing the Bundys’ cattle, destroying their extensive desert watering system, spying on and filming them with the potential to ambush and kill them as they did LaVoy Finicum, traveling to John Day, Oregon, to teach ranchers their Constitutional rights.

Finicum’s crime – he loved and taught the Constitution. His sentence? He was silenced – death without a trial.

Today, becoming a Constitutional advocate and carrying a copy of the Constitution is considered a threat, and you are deemed a domestic terrorist with intent to undermine the establishment. As governmental overreach is occurring nationwide an organization called the “People’s Rights” have established a nationwide network of citizens, willing to gather immediately and peacefully, when called upon to defend neighbors, as occurred with the Bundy family. This group has since been label lynched by the media to be insurrectionists, gun toters, extremists, radicals, and far-right, instead of informed, law-abiding, Constitutional advocates. This media tactic deceives, manipulates, and causes good people to shy away from asserting their Constitutional rights.

Those participating in “People’s Rights” demonstrate strength and unity, act as on-site witnesses, and show that we the people are not puppets to be controlled and abused at the discretion or indiscretion of Federal departments, sycophant Governors and Sheriffs, hospitals, the CDC, Dr. Fauci, and the World Health Organization.

Ammon encouraged the audience to search online and safely partner with “People’s Rights” to protect themselves and their neighbors from oppressive unconstitutional Governmental dictates.

All this is missing is a 5G conspiracy theory to complete my wack-a-doodle bingo card.

“Finicum’s crime – he loved and taught the Constitution. His sentence? He was silenced – death without a trial.”
Or he was a fugitive with a loaded gun fleeing the police.
I would love to hear the authors take on SLCPD shootings and contrast it with this.

What loss of Constitutional rights were they protesting? Is protesting a crime? In Finicums case, what was his crime? Are you not allowed to take a stand and protest against the government’s overreach of power? What businesses did they rob and vandalize? They didn’t. What property did they destroy or burn? They didn’t. What cars did they light on fire? They didn’t. Who did they kill? They didn’t. Who did they shoot at? They didn’t. What businesses did they permanently destroy? They didn’t. Who was their victim? No victim, no crime.

In Finicums case when did it become illegal to carry a weapon, an antique single shot at that? How do you compare rioting and burning in Salt Lake City to people making a stand for their Constitutional rights in a remote, unpopulated location, with a media that chose to label lynch them, but give a pass to anarchists destroying multiple cities?

How do you rationalize two shots at Finicum with rubber bullets when his hands were in the air? If you had been shot by rubber bullets what would your reaction have been? Would or could you keep your hands in the air. How do you then rationalize thereafter, killing him instead of cuffing him, and taking him, prisoner? ? How do you then rationalize shooting a man who hadn’t committed a crime, who was not fleeing a crime scene, had no arrest warrant filed against him, had never been arrested in his life, and wasn’t considered a dangerous criminal? What do you do with someone protesting the Government? Silence them, better yet kill them? Let the people know they had better swing in line and silently take the Government’s future theft and abuse.

In the future when your rights are dismissed like an empty can of tuna, what will be your recourse? You should protest, and gather others as witnesses around you to evidence the crime being committed against you. You can’t claim your Constitutional rights – if you don’t know what they are. In that event, let’s hope you are not killed for making a stand against Governmental overreach, and for opening your mouth, and asserting your rights, in the face of a media industry that is driven to salaciously label lynch you before you can go to court, just so they can sell their newspapers. Today a majority of the news media does not report – they withhold, spin, twist, and editorialize, and you end up being convicted before you’re given a fair trial. So apparently in Finicum’s case, there’s a new media-supported Constitutional plan to kill and silence you before you can expose the corruption and before you can “wickedly” teach others their Constitutional rights. The Government now has a Constitutional right to eliminate your Constitutional rights to meet their objectives of absolute control? Where did that come from?

      I don’t understand.
      How are you applying satire?
Sarcasm, irony, witticism, humor or caustic remark?
Which of those, and how does it apply?

Bundy and his posse of clowns have watched Red Dawn (80s version) too many times. Most of them couldn’t pass a simple US Governent/Civics exam, yet they are self-proclaimed constitutional experts. Farmers and ranchers in the American West, some of them my family members, have paid their fair share for nearly a century as they have grazed their cattle and sheep on public lands. They know Bundy and followers are a joke.

    • Barton E Boothe March 9, 2021 at 11:41 am Reply

Yes, they are so Constitutionally ignorant they prevailed, and the judge dismissed the case. They protected their right to water and grazing deeded them by Nevada, which the Federal Government decided to confiscate. Where in the Constitution does it grant the Federal Government the right to steal and then own 51% of the west including the water, grazing, and 72% of subsurface mineral rights? It doesn’t unless you simply roll over and let them. Don’t sacrifice your rights and deliver them into the hands of big government, just because they tell you to. Learn your rights and you too will prevail.

      • Don March 9, 2021 at 9:43 pm Reply

Did they actually rule on the merits of the case in Bundy’s favor or did they dismiss the case due to sloppiness of the prosecutors? There’s a big difference.

Don did you miss the fact that the BLM was caught in numerous courtroom lies, did you miss the fact that they destroyed cattle by shooting them from a helicopter and then pushing their carcases into ditches and then covering up the evidence. Did you miss the fact that the supposed authorities literally and physically beat people into submission? Did you miss the fact that they secretly with cameras filmed the Bundys from numerous locations, invading their Constitutional right to privacy. Did you miss the fact that the Bundys were imprisoned for years for standing up for their rights and for the crimes the US Government allowed itself to commit? How can you justify the governments inexhaustible 20 million tax dollars set aside to prosecute the two for standing up for their rights. Do you know that the Federal Govt. wins 98% of all cases brought against them because they use our unlimited tax dollars to validate their corrupt practices. Did you miss the fact that the Governments case was dismissed because they were wrong in their presumption that they have rights but you don’t?

Bundy isn’t concerned about OUR rights; he’s concerned about HIS effort to cheat other ranchers, farmers and citizens who pay a fair amount to use our public lands. It’s more about his family greed than public protection.

    • Barton E Boothe March 9, 2021 at 12:12 pm Reply

They are not public land. They are stolen lands. Stolen from the people and controlled by the Government. This action denies States in the West an equal footing with States in the East. The Eastern States were concerned and didn’t want the competition the Western States would create. So those politicians in the East made certain the West could not compete by denying them the right to fully use their resources. Just confiscate a majority of their State and we can keep them in check. Beyond that, more than 50 ranchers were run out of business in Bundys area over a 20 year period by a greedy Federal Government choosing to penalize those “damn” ranchers. Why does the Government want to control the area, the water, grazing, and mineral rights? Follow the money. Government power to profit from contracts with China who owns more and more of our land every year. Furthermore, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is an incompetent management department that has burnt more land than citizens ever have.

      • Don March 9, 2021 at 9:46 pm Reply

What if we like federal lands near us that we can use for recreation? Utah would sell off half the lands for development if they suddenly inherited all the federal lands in the state, since they wouldn’t otherwise be able to pay for them. If anything, the current system is unfair to the easterners, because their taxes go towards maintaining the lands that are out near us, which makes it easier for westerners to use them. I’m happy to have their tax money fund my playground, and they are welcome to come any time to play as well, even if it’s a bit further of a trip.

        • Barton E Boothe March 10, 2021 at 9:29 am Reply

Thank you for your perspective. Are you saying it’s alright to steal from others to meet our pleasure, it’s alright for the US Government to profit from their theft of our States resources? Don when you go to Yellowstone is it free? Do you think Utah and Utahns are so stupid they don’t know how to guard their scenic areas and also profit from its resources plus its play areas? So we are restricted and suffer from their theft, plus pay more and more taxes to them, plus pay them to use what is ours. Are Utahns so stupid they couldn’t possibly manage the land and do a better job than the Federalies from Washington DC?

It’s a fallacy. It’s not costing the Federal Govt. anything to manage our land; it’s costing us. There are a lot of people who condone their carpetbagging. Theft of our land, theft of our money, our sovereign rights, theft of our resources, water, grazing, and mineral rights. And for what, so they can control what’s ours for their overwhelming profit. And since it’s the Federal Government, I guess that makes it alright? The only problem is they have to progressively convert us into becoming Socialists so that we cooperate with their larceny. Understand that the Federal Govt. doesn’t give us anything that doesn’t insurmountably come out of our pockets up front, sooner and later, over and over and over……

When I saw Barton’s name on this, I thought, well, there goes CVD. I won’t be reading that site anymore. I then realized it was just a letter to the editor, not that he has been brought on staff. Apparently CVD will publish just about anything like the HJ. That’s okay, but letters like this may make it worth adding a feature to the site for editorial warnings/comments indicating that some of the claims are disputed. There is a note about letters to the editor being the opinion of the writer, but it is quite irresponsible providing any type of undisputed platform to such out there conspiracy theories. Let’s see if I write BARTON BOOTHE in all caps if that triggers the sovereign citizen conspiracy about his name being written in a way that his soul is magically sold to the government (this is another of their whacko constitutional theories).

    • Barton E Boothe March 9, 2021 at 4:25 pm Reply

So what are you disputing, Don? Or are you just taking the opportunity to label-lynch? Are you advocating the cancel-culture because you don’t like what I say? Then what kind of conspiracy are you caught up in? Is it a conspiracy when I stand up for people and their Constitutional rights? Do you really trust Congressmen, who are regularly voting to cancel your constitutional rights 60-to-90 percent of the time? There is only one Congressman who votes 100-percent of the time to honor the Constitution and protect his constituents — Thomas Massie of Kentucky. Do you really think your Congressmen and government are starchy-clean? Do you really believe that when the House Chairman calls for a vote, when only 20 Congressmen are on the floor, that what is best for our nation is accurately represented and determined with a mere “yeh” or “nay” voice count? Check “youtube” for Marjorie Greene, 14th district of Georgia. Is it a conspriacy on her part to demand a roll-call that requires ALL Congressmen to vote on a measure? Do you really believe you hold all truth, and therefore, summarily dismiss everything you don’t agree with to be fomented by Conspiracy Theorists?

If you don’t agree with what I write, don’t read it. If a fact is incorrect, that does not invalidate the central message — watch out for big government. It will take your money, take your rights, make you wear masks that don’t work, shut down your business, stop you from going to church, kill thousands of people in New York retirement centers, take away your right to defend yourself, and will even make you take a vaccine before you can work, sell, or buy.

Have you ever bothered to obtain evidence first-hand? What were you doing when Ammon Bundy was speaking Monday night….not football? Sitting on your Ethan Allen, drinking a Sam Adams, and watching the Patriots? What kept you from hearing first-hand the other side of the story, not printed in the media, so you could ask your own questions. Did you know that you become a conspirator when you label everyone that does not agree with you to be a conspiracy theorist?

The adversary is a conspirator. The Government and Hollywood are filled with moral conspirators — Jeffery Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell conspired; Socialists and their various advocates conspire; Communists conspire, and yes, even Capitalists conspire because it only takes two people to form a conspiracy that will damage others to enrich themselves.

Have you even bothered to read secondary sources, like “Spector of Communism,” “None Dare Call It Conspiracy,” or “The Epoch Times” to gain a clearer perspective of your own personal conspiracy against free-thought, free-speech, and Constitutional Rights?

      • Don March 9, 2021 at 9:52 pm Reply

The last thing I ever want to do is be in the same room as Ammon Bundy. You might be as insane as he is.

Manipulative individuals use label lynching, and name calling after they have nothing else to offer? They attempt to control others through their use of intimidation. Just shut those with opposing views up and do it with sarcasm, insults, disrespect, and revilement. I am not attempting to insult, only to teach. You can reject facts and truth if you so choose to. I cooperate with your Constitutional right to free speech and wish you the best in your outlook of others and thank you for your input.

You may change your mind when the Federalies come to take you away. In that event remember to call for the assistance of the People’s Rights to help protect you and witness the dismissal of your rights by a self sanctified Governmental behemoth.

    • Barton E Boothe March 10, 2021 at 10:28 am Reply

Don, since you brought it up, have you used the number on your birth certificate or Social Security number on Fidelity .com to determine the trusts established in your name when you were a baby? Since you were not able at that young age to authorize that action, how did that occur? Yes, the government cooperates with the International Monetary Fund in the theft of your identity, to establish trusts in your name that are sold on the open market. What happened to your sovereign rights with that action? It hard to imagine this could occur, but check it out. Ask the attorney Herm Olsen (above) how, and who profits from that identity theft, and little-known secret? Give the Government an inch and they will soak you silly, seize 51% of all Western States and be thrilled as they smack you in the face.
