LOGAN — A 31-year-old Millville man has confessed to secretly filming women while they were tanning at a local gym. Tyson W. Hadfield waived his right to a trial and accepted a plea agreement that could send him to jail for one year.

Hadfield appeared in 1st District Court Tuesday morning. He pleaded guilty to one count of voyeurism, a class A misdemeanor.

In August, a 19-year-old woman reported to police that Hadfield filmed her while she was undressing inside a gym’s tanning booth. She said he held a phone over the gap between the tanning booth wall and the ceiling and recorded her.

Later, when the gym’s management confronted Hadfield about the complaint, he acknowledged to filming the woman while she was naked from the waist up. He also showed police officers a chair and mini-fridge he had used to climb high enough to gain access to the gap between the wall and the ceiling.

Hadfield remains out of jail after posting $680 bail and is scheduled to be sentenced March 30. He has reportedly been receiving counseling since his arrest.
