Utah State football announces home-and-home series with Connecticut, along with home games against Weber State and Idaho State

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State Vice President and Director of Athletics John Hartwell announced Friday that the Aggie football team will play a home-and-home series with the University of Connecticut in 2022 and 2023.

Utah State will host Connecticut on Aug. 27, 2022, and then play the Huskies in Hartford, Conn., on Sept. 30, 2023. USU is 1-0 all-time against Connecticut as it posted a 38-31 road win in Storrs, Conn., on Nov. 10, 2001.

Utah State also finalized two more home games as it will host Weber State on Sept. 10, 2022, and Idaho State on Sept. 9, 2023. USU is 14-1 all-time against the Wildcats and 18-2 all-time against the Bengals. The last time USU faced WSU was in 2016 and the last time it played ISU was in 2017.

With this announcement, Utah State’s 2022 and 2023 non-conference schedules are now complete. In 2022, USU will host Connecticut (8/27) and Weber State (9/10), and visit Alabama (9/3) and BYU (9/30). And in 2023, USU will host Idaho State (9/9) and BYU (9/16), and play at Iowa (9/2) and at Connecticut (9/30).
