It’s the Weekend: Oct. 10-13, 2019

There will be cooler temperatures this weekend, but you can still have fun with a ton of great events around Cache Valley.

Vintage Market Days

Vintage Market Days is Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Cache County Events Center. It features vintage home decor, jewelry, clothing, antiques…plus live music and food trucks.

Disney’s Freaky Friday the musical

Four Seasons Theatre Company continues its production of Disney’s Freaky Friday the musical. It’s at Sky View High School with performances Thursday, Friday, Saturday and the final performance next Monday.

Oktoberfest

USU Dining Services celebrates Oktoberfest on Thursday, from 5-7 p.m. There will be all-you-can-eat authentic German food, games, prizes and live performances at The Junction.

Aggie Madness

Get your first look at the 2019-2020 Aggie Men’s and Women’s basketball teams Thursday night at Aggie Madness. The fun begins at 8:30 p.m. in the Wayne Estes Center. There will be a dunk contest, team scrimmage and a lot more.

Magical Market

WizARTS and WitchCRAFTS are on display at the Magical Market this Friday and Saturday at the Riverwoods Conference Center. There will be shopping and activities for witches and wizards of all ages.

Gallery Walk

Stroll around Historic Downtown Logan Friday evening for this month’s Gallery Walk. Store fronts and historic buildings make one big art gallery from a variety of local artists.

Espana!

Celebrate Spanish life and culture with the USU Symphony Orchestra Friday night in the Logan Tabernacle. They’ll perform several pieces from celebrated Spanish composers from 7-8:30 p.m.

Red Ribbon Run

Join the Bear River Health Department at the Red Ribbon Run Saturday morning. It’s a 5K and 1 mile event that begins at 9 a.m. at Cedar Ridge Elementary.

Top of Utah Classic Quidditch Tournament

The 6th annual Top of Utah Classic Quidditch Tournament is Saturday on the Aggie Legacy Fields. See different university club teams as they try to capture the Snitch.

Community Art Day

Learn more about writing poetry at the Community Art Day on Saturday. It’s at USU’s Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art and features National Student Poet Taylor Fang from Logan High School.

Oktoberkraut City Celebration

Check out Sweet Rides and Sauerkraut at Spring Creek Middle School in Providence on Saturday. A classic car show is held in conjunction with the Oktoberkraut City Celebration

Halloween Carnival

Whispering Canyons is hosting a Halloween Carnival for the whole family on Saturday. There will be horse games, carnival games, animal balloons and a whole lot more at 10th West and 10th South in Logan.

USU Hockey

Cheer on USU Hockey in their home opener on Saturday. They take on the University of Providence in the Eccles Ice Center at 7 p.m.

Night at the Whittier

And finally, embark on a paranormal adventure (if you dare) and investigate the ghosts of the past at the Whittier Community Center. The ghosts come out at night, and the adventure doesn’t begin until 11 p.m. Saturday evening.
