Airport Road opened to traffic on Monday after a two week shutdown.
Crews closed the road that runs from 1000 West to the Logan city boundary on September 16.
After years of wear and tear, the road needed to be resurfaced and a complete shutdown was the quickest way to finish the project in a safe manner, according to Logan City’s Public Works Director Paul Lindhardt.
“The weather was tricky and made it hard,” said Lindhardt. “But they were able to stick to a schedule. We appreciate everybody’s patience. Closing it was the right thing to do and we got it done. We appreciate people working with us,” he added.
