Utah State football’s season opener at Wake Forest will be televised on ACC Network

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State’s season-opening football game at Wake Forest on Friday, Aug. 30, will be televised live on the ACC Network at 6 p.m. (MT), it was announced Wednesday.

Overall, it will be the second time in three seasons that Utah State visits Winston-Salem, N.C., also doing so during the 2017 campaign.

With Wednesday’s announcement, Utah State now has nine of its 12 regular season games scheduled for national broadcasts as four of the matchups will appear on one of the ESPN Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU), while the other four games will be televised by CBS Sports Network.

Two of Utah State’s home games will be televised on CBS Sports Network as it hosts Colorado State on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 5:30 p.m., and Boise State on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 8:30 p.m. CBS Sports Network will also televise two of USU’s road games, including its Mountain West opener at San Diego State on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 8:30 p.m. (MT), and its game at Fresno State on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m. (MT).

Of Utah State’s four games to appear on one of the ESPN Networks, three will be home games, as it hosts Nevada on Saturday, Oct. 19, BYU on Saturday, Nov. 2, and Wyoming on Saturday, Nov. 16. Its other game will be a road contest at Air Force on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Kickoff times and specific outlets for Utah State’s four games on ESPN will not be announced until 12 days prior to the game.

Following its season opener at Wake Forest, Utah State will host Stony Brook in its home opener on Saturday, Sept. 7. USU will also have a non-conference game at LSU on Saturday, Oct. 5, and conclude Mountain West play and the regular season at New Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 30.
