LOGAN — Police have arrested six people, five men and one woman, after a reported armed robbery that allegedly occurred early Thursday morning, near 700 South 200 West.

Logan City Police Capt. Tyson Budge said police received a 911 call around 4 a.m. The Idaho caller said they were at the address earlier in the morning, attempting to buy drugs when they were robbed at gunpoint.

“According to the complainants, four men and a female had brought weapons into the room, pointed them at them, and robbed them of all their belongings, and then let them go,” explained Budge.

No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Officers responded to the residence and watched several suspects attempt to leave. They were taken into custody after a brief chase. Two more suspects fled to a second Logan home near 500 West 600 North.

SWAT teams were called to both locations to clear the residences. Search warrants were also obtained to look for evidence.

Budge said in all, 11 adults and four kids were all safely removed from the homes and taken into custody for questioning. Officers later arrested Andrew Wilson, Michael Barson, Jessi Wolford, Joseph Landa, Daniel Folla and Linda Folla. All of them were booked into jail on various drug offences.

Officers believe this was a case of a drug deal that went wrong.

“[The complainants] admitted that they had come down here for narcotics reasons. They both returned since.”

Police blocked off the neighborhoods surrounding both residences for several hours until the homes were cleared. Officers are continuing to investigate the alleged robbery claim.
