We’re really getting into the holiday season and there are a lot of ways to start celebrating this weekend. And there are plenty of non-holiday related events going on as well. We’ve got all the details…right here.
Finding Neverland
The national Broadway tour of Finding Neverland comes to the Ellen Eccles Theatre this weekend. Finding Neverland tells the incredible story behind Peter Pan, this Thursday and Friday.
Craft Fair
The Hyrum Senior Center is hosting their annual All Wrapped Up Christmas Craft Fair. Gift baskets, treats, holiday decorations and a lot more will be available Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tree Festival
Christmas trees decorated by local businesses will be auctioned off at the Tree Festival. It’s a fundraiser for The Family Place and takes place at Freckle Farm Friday at 5.
Winter Gift Market
Celebrate the Art of Giving at the Winter Gift Market at the Bullen Center. Support local artists beginning Friday at 5, and continuing Saturday at 9.
Science Unwrapped
Celebrate the 10th anniversary of USU’s Science Unwrapped. The theme for Friday night’s event in the Eccles Science Learning Center is Powers of 10: Planetary and it begins at 7 p.m.
USU Hockey
USU Hockey hosts the University of Utah Friday night at the Eccles Ice Arena, and it’s Military Appreciation Night. All fans with military ID get free admission.
White Christmas
Four Seasons Theater opens its heartwarming musical adaptation of White Christmas this weekend. Performances are in the Sky View auditorium and continue through December 10th.
Light Up the Sky
If you enjoy satire, we think you’ll like Light Up the Sky. The theater production (about theater) opens this weekend at the Caine Lyric Theatre and continues through December 8th.
Zoo Lights
Come enjoy the Zoo lights at Zootah, starting this weekend and continuing through December 29th. Friday night is USU Student Night. All college students with ID get in for half price; and, Saturday is Veterans Night. All active duty or retired military get in for free and there are discounts for immediate family as well.
Forgotten Carols
On Saturday, there are two performances of the Forgotten Carols: a matinee at 2:30 and an evening performance at 7:30, both at Logan High School.
Messiah Sing-In
Join the Northern Utah Youth and Community Symphonies and soloists as they usher in the 2018 Christmas season with Handel’s Messiah in the Brigham City Tabernacle. The event will include audience participation and begins Saturday at 7 p.m.
