It’s a holiday tradition for many families and each year it gets bigger and better. The Preston City Festival of Lights will be held Saturday, November 24th.
Festival of Lights committee member, Allyson Wadsworth, says the event is successful every year thanks to the tight knit Preston community.
“It takes an army to put something like this together.”
Wadsworth says the Lions Club helps set up lights on Main Street and there are “lots of volunteers, we couldn’t do it without the volunteers.” She adds, “I have a great committee that I work with, too, that we plan year round to make this event happen. It’s just a fun, tight community event.”
The festivities begin around noon on Saturday and end with fireworks and a lighted parade in the evening.
