Jennie Earl has a Masters degree and she says she has always been active in education. Now, the resident of Morgan has decided she would like to do more and she has filed for the State School Board District #1, which covers Cache, Box Elder, Rich and Morgan counties, in addition to a portion of Weber County.
Earl believes she has ideas that would work well in the schools, in both the academic area and also in dealing with safety issues.
“I feel like there are things we can focus on, including reducing class size,” says Earl. “I feel like teachers need to have a manageable size in their classroom in order to work with kids, and help them develop relationships so that they can adequately help children academically or if they have other needs.
“When you have a huge class size you just can’t do that. So I would rather see the money put there versus putting social workers in every school.”
Earl is running against incumbent Teryl Warner.
Social Workers are vital to have in Each and Every School given the World we live in.
