Police have arrested two people involved in a shooting Thursday night in Preston, Idaho. Brett Hansen and Breann Choules were both booked on separate offences into the Cache County Jail.
Preston City Police Chief Mike Peterson said officers were called to a home near 197 South 300 East around 8 p.m. Several nearby residents had called 911, reporting to hear people yelling and at least one gunshot.
When officers arrived on the scene they confronted Hansen and took him safely into custody. He was booked on suspicion of three counts of aggravated assault and two counts of assault, both felonies, along with discharging a firearm in city limits, a misdemeanor. He is being held without bail.
Peterson said no one was hurt from the gunshot.
Choules was also arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. She is being held on $300 bail.
Peterson said officers are continuing to investigate and will be turning over the case to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office, to determine formal charges.
