Cache County offers voting assistance because of ballot delays

Tuesday is the official Primary Election day in Utah, although Cache County Clerk Jill Zollinger says this year it is also a voting assistance day. She says that is because there was an unexpected delay in getting the ballots out this year, so early voting has been extended until Monday.

Zollinger says everything is in place with multiple locations for people to cast their ballots.

“(Tuesday) we have extended out our ballot assistance centers,” Zollinger explains. “We will have one in Smithfield (50 East 100 North), one here at the county administration building (179 North Main in Logan) and one in Nibley (455 West 3200 South). The hours for those on election day will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.”

Zollinger says there has been a lot of activity in her office Monday. She hopes that means a lot of people will vote in the primary election.
