LOGAN – It’s not too early to start planning for the 2018 edition of Logan City’s “Freedom Fire”. Parks and Recreation Director Russ Akina said that once again the city will present its Independence Day program the night of July 3 at Maverik Stadium at Utah State University.
He said there will be changes this year. There won’t be any lasers but there will be three bands instead of two. He said there will be some great entertainment.
“We have the patriotic program that we do every year,” he said. “Holly Fjeldsted does a really exceptional job of putting that program together. It has a military tribute and a video of ‘Country Road, Take Me Home’ and Joaby Parker of Mile Marker 6 will perform that number.”
The Party Crashers will provide music for a concert at the end of the program. Akina said everyone is encouraged to attend.
