We’ve got baby animals, a live music and art festival downtown, USU football, a Hangar Hop and a lot more this weekend in Cache Valley.
It’s a sure sign of spring when the baby animals return to the American West Heritage Center. It began Wednesday and continues through Saturday in Wellsville. This year there are more animals and more fun, including baby bears from Yellowstone’s Bear World! Bring a non-perishable food item and get a dollar off admission.
Three days of live music, films and art take place this weekend with Logan City Limits. Art and music venues are all over historic downtown Logan and at Utah State University’s Taggart Student Center Ballroom. Live performances, combined with the Gallery Walk, take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Enjoy live Indian music and dance with USU’s Museum of Anthropology this Saturday at the Bullen Center in downtown Logan. Starting at 10 a.m., you can learn traditional dances, listen to music, eat authentic food, and make tons of fun, hands-on craft projects. The Family 1st Saturday event is free and engages children ages 3-12.
The Loaves and Fishes community meal is this Saturday at 11:30 a.m. The free meal brings our diverse community together around a common table at the First Presbyterian Church in Logan.
Spring practices for the USU football team conclude with the annual Spring Blue and White Scrimmage this Saturday. The game kicks off at 2 p.m. on Merlin Olsen Field.
Legacy House of Logan is hosting their annual Spring Boutique this Saturday. From 12-4, find home décor, gift ideas, and holiday decorations. Legacy House is located on 1400 North in Logan.
Celebrate the passion of hunting big game at the Northern Utah Big Game Banquet. Enjoy games, prizes and great food at the Riverwoods Conference Center Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m.
The USU Dance Company presents their year-end showcase “Limitless” Saturday night at the Ellen Eccles Theatre. These athletic and creative dancers perform at 7 p.m.
Join the Cache Community Big Band and dance the night away to live big band music this Saturday at the Hangar Hop. The dance is in an airplane hangar at the Logan-Cache Airport with a World War II plane on display. Dress in 1940’s attire and the dancing begins at 7 p.m.
The American Festival Chorus and Orchestra’s 10th season culminates in a glorious concert featuring two master works by acclaimed British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. These rarely-performed, dramatic and profoundly moving works will be shared Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Daines Concert Hall.
Unfortunately for skiers and boarders, all good things must come to an end. Your very last day to hit the slopes this season is Sunday at Beaver Mountain. It was an interesting winter season but it officially ends this weekend.
