Elementary school boundaries may be changing in Logan

LOGAN – The Logan City School District has announced it will be holding a public hearing to discuss proposed boundary changes affecting Bridger and Wilson elementary schools. The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of Mount Logan Middle School.

According to the district, the proposed boundary change will include the following: students currently attending Bridger Elementary who live between 1400 North and 1800 North, and between Main Street and 10000 West will attend Wilson Elementary.

Although Bridger Elementary is mere blocks away, all students in the affected neighborhood will ride school busses to the other side of town to attend Wilson Elementary, located in Logan’s Island Neighborhood.

The district did clarify that students who are currently participating in the Spanish Dual Language Immersion program at Bridger will be allowed to remain in the program.

The public hearing on Tuesday will be a part of the regularly-scheduled Board of Education meeting. Parents who have children in the affected neighborhoods are encouraged to attend.
