LOGAN – Mayor Holly Daines is wasting no time pursuing one of her top priorities: neighborhood revitalization.

On KVNU’s “Let me Speak to the Mayor” program Tuesday, Daines said she would like to make neighborhood revitalization grants available to those who apply.

“It would have an owner-occupied residence and it could be a grant of up to $10,000,” she said. “You can ask for any amount of money up to that. It has to be matched by the homeowner and there are certain stipulations about what qualifies for the match. It has to be certain things. It has to be spent on the exterior.”

Daines said she plans to explore the idea further with members of the Logan City Council hoping they also like the idea.
