Tuesday, March 20th is Caucus Night, which is a big night for all those interested in politics.
Cache County Republican Party Chairman Chris Booth says members of all political organizations get together to line up candidates and plan strategies for the coming election.
“Precinct char, vice chairs, secretaries and treasurers, those positions are up for election or reelection,” Booth explains. “Those are two year terms. Then we have county delegates and the state delegates.
“The county delegates are those who will attend our county convention on April 14th at Mount Logan Middle School. They will vote for all of the county races.”
Booth says those planning to attend can get a great deal of information about the caucus evening on the Cache GOP website. He says party leaders and some candidates will be in attendance. Booth says caucus meetings begin at 7 p.m. but people should plan to arrive early to ensure they get checked into the right precinct.
