URGENT – WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

…UPDATE: SNOW OCCURRING OVER HIGHER TERRAIN IN SOUTHEAST

WASHINGTON AND CAMAS PRAIRIE THIS MORNING…

.A late season storm system is bringing moderate to locally heavy

snow accumulations to the high terrain of the Camas Prairie and

Northeast Blue Mountains through early Sunday morning. Snow

showers will continue through much of today but road surface

temperatures will rise above freezing and prevent further

accumulation by late this morning.

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM PDT THIS

MORNING ABOVE 3500 FEET…

* WHAT…Snow is occuring. Additional snow accumulations of up to

two inches are expected.

* WHERE…Craigmont, Winchester, and Soldiers Meadow Road.

* WHEN…Until 11 AM PDT this morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Be

prepared for reduced visibilities at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will

cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered

roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
