The 2017 hurricane season has ended
The 2017 East Pacific hurricane season has ended. The season featured a total of 18 named systems and two depressions which were not named.
Western Pacific:
Development possible in the Western Pacific
As of Saturday afternoon, EDT, there are no tropical cyclones in the Western Pacific Ocean. An area of low pressure centered 130 miles northwest of Pohnpei will continue to slowly push to the west
over the next few days. Warm ocean water and limited wind shear will allow this system to develop into early next week.
Southern Pacific:
No new information for this time period.
