URGENT – WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

National Weather Service Rapid City SD

1145 AM MDT Fri Mar 16 2018

.A strong storm will continue to produce a wintry mix of sleet,

freezing rain, and snow today. Snow will continue to move across

most of the area today, with freezing rain and sleet ending and

changing to snow in south-central South Dakota. Several inches of

additional snow are expected across much of western South Dakota.

Snow will end this evening.

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED…

The main batch of snow has pushed out of the area. Some lingering

light snow will be possible through afternoon with any

accumulations less than one inch.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means snow accumulations will

create hazardous conditions. Use caution when traveling. The

latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
