The Nation’s Weather for Friday, March 16, 2018
—————
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Chilly air will be reinforced across the Great Lakes and
Northeast tomorrow with temperatures 10-20 degrees below
normal for mid-March. A brisk breeze will make it feel even
colder. Snow showers are forecast to become less widespread
compared to previous days this week across interior areas.
Meanwhile, a system will evolve over the central Plains,
igniting showers and locally severe storms across the middle
and lower Mississippi Valley. On the northern side of the
storm, heavy snow may clog roads across the northern Plains.
Very warm and dry conditions will elevate the risk of
wildfires across the southern Plains. Showers will riddle
the West Coast with heavy snow likely to further bury and
trigger travel disruptions across the Sierra Nevada.
