CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming’s newest Supreme Court justice has been seated.
Lynne Boomgaarden was sworn in during a robing ceremony on Monday. She fills the vacancy left by Justice William U. Hill following his retirement.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle <a target=”—blank” href=”https://www.wyomingnews.com/news/local%E2%80%94news/newest-wyoming-supreme-court-justice-sworn-in/article%E2%80%94f227ac12-268a-11e8-98f7-e73326d41363.html”>reports</a> that Boomgaarden was a partner and served four years at a Cheyenne law firm. Before that, she worked in private practice in Cheyenne beginning in 2010.
She also served as the director of the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments and was a professor at the University of Wyoming College of Law.
