The Nation’s Weather for Saturday, March 10, 2018
—————
NATIONAL SUMMARY
The Upper Midwest and Northeast will remain cool but within
a few degrees of seasonable levels tomorrow. A lingering
system over New England will trigger snow showers from New
York state to Maine. Meanwhile, a new storm will evolve over
the nation’s midsection. Rain and heavy thunderstorms will
threaten the lower Mississippi Valley and Deep South with
localized flooding. A few storms could turn severe with hail
and damaging winds. As summerlike heat builds across
south-central Texas, a bit of snow could coat roads across
the northern Plains. A Pacific storm will reach California,
spreading much-needed rain across a large part of the state.
Mild air will build into the Pacific Northwest.
