Former Wyoming corrections employee pleads guilty

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A 24-year-old former corrections center employee in Wyoming has pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with an inmate.

Tosha Sheesley, who is a former resident manager at the Casper Re-Entry Center, pleaded guilty Thursday before District Judge Catherine Wilking to one count of third-degree sexual assault. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years imprisonment as well as a fine of $10,000.

KTWO-AM <a target=”&mdash;blank” href=”http://k2radio.com/casper-woman-admits-sexual-contact-with-crc-inmate/”>reports</a> that in exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss two counts of second-degree sexual assault.

Prosecutors also will recommend that Sheesley receive a suspended prison sentence of three to five years and serve three years on supervised probation in lieu of incarceration. Sheesley would have to register as a sex offender.

Sheesley remains free on bond pending sentencing.
