UISAPA journalism contest finalists named

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Finalists have been announced in the 2017 Utah, Idaho, Spokane Associated Press Association Contest.

The awards in actual order of finish – first, second and third places — will be announced in the next few weeks via mail and email. They will also be posted at http://discover.ap.org/contests/uisapa.

Sixteen daily newspapers submitted 532 entries in the contest, which featured news and sports stories from 2017.

Please review the finalists and contact Dina Naylor ([email protected]) or 509.599.3919 by Tuesday, March 13, to report any misspelled names, titles or other problems.

The Associated Press is a not-for-profit news cooperative representing 1,400 newspapers and 5,000 broadcast stations in the United States.
