AFTERNOON…

* WHAT…Heavy snow and blowing snow occurring. Plan on

difficult travel conditions. Tree branches could fall as well.

Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch, with

localized amounts up to 5 inches, are expected.

* WHERE…I 84 from milepost 228 to the Utah border including

Sweetzer Summit, I 15 from the milepost 63 to the Utah Border

including Malad Pass, U.S. Highways 26, 30, 89 and 91, and

state highways 34 and 36.

* WHEN…Until 5 PM MST this afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will

cause areas of blowing and drifting snow, especially over

mountain passes.

There remains a chance of snow locally this afternoon. Local

narrow bands of snow could last for an hour or two and produce

around an inch of snow. Widespread snow is not expected and

therefore the Winter Weather Advisory was allowed to expire.

Pine Creek Pass, Highway 33 through the Teton Valley.

* WHEN…Until 5 PM MST this afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Winds gusting as high as 30 mph will

cause areas of blowing and drifting snow, especially over

mountain passes.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods

of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel

difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
