The Nation’s Weather for Sunday, March 4, 2018
—————
NATIONAL SUMMARY
The powerful nor’easter will continue to crawl out to sea
today. However, strong wind gusts will continue along the
immediate coast with cool winds and rough surf as far south
as eastern Florida. Major coastal flooding at times of high
tide will continue in the Northeast. Most areas from the
Atlantic coast to the High Plains and Arizona deserts can
expect dry weather today. A large area of high pressure is
forecast to sprawl over the Great Lakes. Meanwhile, the same
storm that has been pestering the Pacific coast with rain
and low snow levels much of this week will begin to push
inland over the West. Rain showers will continue from
western Washington to Southern California, while areas of
heavy snow occur in the Sierra Nevada and northern Rockies.
Snow will also accumulate over part of the Great Basin.
