Officials identify 70-year-old Casper woman who died in fire

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Officials in central Wyoming have released the name of a 70-year-old woman who died in a fire at a Casper apartment complex that provides affordable housing to seniors.

Natrona County Coroner Connie Jacobson said Friday that Sharon Lee Marzocca was found dead in her smoke-filled apartment Thursday morning. KTWO-AM reports Marzocca’s cause of death is still under investigation.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports the fire at St. Anthony’s Manor was reported just after 10:30 a.m. and was contained to Marzocca’s seventh-floor apartment, although smoke spread to multiple floors.
