…HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY

EVENING…

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a High Wind

Watch, which is in effect from Saturday morning through Sunday

evening.

* TIMING…Strong winds will develop Saturday morning. There will

be a lull Saturday night, then even stronger winds are possible

on Sunday, peaking Sunday afternoon.

* WINDS…Wind prone areas may see west to northwest winds at 30

to 40 mph with gusts to around 60 mph on Saturday, and gusts up

to 70 mph on Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Impacts mainly to transportation. Dangerous travel for

light weight and high profile vehicles, including camping

trailers. Strong cross winds may result in an elevated risk for

blow overs of these types of vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous

high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph…or gusts of

58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest

forecasts.
