Booth excited for opportunity to serve as new chair of the Cache County Republican Party

The Cache County Republican Party has a new chairman and it is Chris Booth. After Casey Snider declared himself as a candidate to replace Curt Webb as a state representative in District 5, Snider needed to resign his position as party chair.

A special election was held on January 23, 2018 to name Snider’s replacement and Booth defeated Nathan Whiting. Booth is a North Logan resident and has been serving as legislative co-chairman for District 3.

Booth says he realizes it will be a challenge because being chairman is a very important position.

“I’m humbled and appreciative of all those who voted for me and felt like I could do the job. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us. We are looking forward to rolling up our sleeves and going to work together. I’m excited to be involved, excited for the opportunity to serve.”

Booth says this is a busy time of year with the Republican Party’s Lincoln Day Dinner coming up on March 2nd. He also said it is the time for finding candidates for the coming election.
