But first, if you’re ready to take down that live Christmas tree, there are numerous Tree-cycling sites throughout Cache Valley, including the Logan Landfill. Just make sure you take off all the ornaments, lights and decorations.

The Utah State Women’s basketball team hosts San Diego State in their Mountain West Conference opener on Saturday. Tipoff is at 2 p.m. in the Spectrum.

The Cache Venue at 119 South Main will be hosting a semi-formal New Year’s Eve party featuring live bands and a live DJ. There is a “Dance and Dine” option or a “Just Dance” option.

The Elements Restaurant is catering a New Year’s Eve buffet on Sunday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Riverwoods Conference Center. And the Vineyards at Mt. Naomi Farms is hosting a New Year’s Eve party as well. It begins at 7 p.m. and goes until 1 a.m. with a catered dinner, dancing and live music.
