LOGAN — A preliminary hearing has been postponed for an 18-year-old North Logan man, accused of burglarizing several homes last summer. Christian A. Jensen will remain out on bail, while attorneys work out a possible plea deal.

Jensen appeared in 1st District Court Wednesday afternoon. Prosecutors have filed 22 charges against him including five counts of aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony.

Police allege Jensen was caught on security cameras entering the garages of several residences. Once inside, he reportedly stole items from the garage and inside several vehicles.

Security camera photos appear to be Jensen and showed a man in his late teens or early 20’s, with a beard and mustache. He was wearing a camouflage shirt, baseball hat and carrying a handgun. He was seen leaving in a dark sedan.

Jensen turned himself into police in August, after detectives released security camera footage to the news media, asking for the public’s help identifying the alleged burglar. He was booked into the Cache County Jail and later released after posting $7,500 bail.

Police also arrested a second suspect, Guy Hales. The 18-year-old Dillon, Montana, man pleaded guilty last week for his involvement in the burglaries. He is scheduled to be sentenced January 9.

During Wednesday’s court appearance, defense attorney Shannon Demler asked the court for additional time as he and prosecutors work out a possible plea deal in the case. Judge Brian Cannell rescheduled Jensen’s preliminary hearing for March 14.
