LOGAN – It’s a tradition and the Cache Valley Civic Ballet will once again present its annual production of “The Nutcracker” which opens Friday, just after Thanksgiving. The show will run through Monday Nov. 27 at the Ellen Eccles Theatre in Downtown Logan.

General Director Wendy Wimmer said the enchanting Christmas ballet will be presented Friday and Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Monday.

“It’s a wonderful Cache Valley holiday tradition,” she said. “You’ll see generations. You’ll see mothers and grandmothers and great grandmothers taking their daughters down where they get to enjoy downtown during the holidays, enjoy all of the stores and restaurants open their doors. It’s a wonderful, festive weekend.”

Wimmer said in addition to the great music of Tchaikovsky there are beautiful costumes and wonderful performances by the dancers. The Sugar Plum Tea will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., prior to the matinee performances.
