Amy Anderson says her family got a warm welcome when they moved to Logan almost 13 years ago. Now, she is thanking Logan residents for supporting her in the Tuesday election.
Anderson was the top vote-getter in the Logan City Council race receiving 34% of the vote. She says her goal is to work hard to make sure the quality of life is here and that it is enjoyed by all the citizens.
Anderson is a strong supporter of neighborhood councils.
“It’s easy to get involved when you see that there’s a problem in your neighborhood,” Anderson said after Tuesday’s victory. “I think that by not having those community councils we face that issue, that people are only going to get involved late in the game when there’s a problem.
“What I’d really like to see is those neighborhood councils working together, building that sense of community. I think that will help to make those core neighborhoods of Logan more appealing to people.”
Anderson says people will work harder for something when they can see that it will make their lives and lives of other people better.
