Public meeting to be hosted tonight by state legislators

LOGAN – Local legislators are hoping a lot of people will turn out tonight for the monthly meeting hosted by the Cache County’s state representatives because they feel the program will be not only interesting but also educational and enlightening in several areas.

Senator Lyle Hillyard said the meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Cache County Courthouse, will be focused on educational and other similar opportunities.

“I don’t know if people realize how fortunate we are to live here in this valley,” he said. “We have many educational opportunities not only to help us enhance our job skills but to just enhance our appreciation of life. We’re going to talk about maybe going back to USU and completing a degree you may have started. We’re going to talk about the applied technology centers and the programs they have to enrich your employment skills and also just teach you things. We’ll probably also talk about the English Language Center.”

Hillyard said the speakers will be people who can describe and talk about these programs.
