LOGAN — A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a 19-year-old Logan man, accused of having sex with an underage girl. Jacob W. Wilson was arrested last month by North Park Police officers, after previously serving 81-days in jail for sexting with an underage girl and criminal mischief.

Wilson appeared in 1st District Court Monday morning. He has been charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor and dealing in materials harmful to a minor, both second-degree felonies, and misdomeanor drug possession. His attorney, Mike McGinnis, asked for the preliminary hearing, where a judge will determine if prosecutors have substantial evidence in the case to bind the suspect over for trial.

Wilson didn’t speak during Monday’s hearing. He is currently being held in the Cache County Jail on $29,000 bail.
