Tuesday was the last day to register to vote in this year’s elections which will take place on Tuesday, November 7th. Logan City Recorder Teresa Harris says in order to vote, your ballot has be returned with a postmark no later than Monday, November 6th.
Harris says ballots are coming in every day and as they come in she checks signatures and prepares them to be counted. Harris says it is hard right now to tell how big the turn out will be.
“I still hope we’ll get more than we had in the primary and go above that 30% turnout,” Harris says. “We had a lot come in over the weekend.
“We have one more weekend to go and then election day. We don’t have a lot but there are a number of people who want to vote on election day.”
Harris says the voting ends Tuesday at 8 p.m. The ballots will be counted immediately after that in the city council chambers.
