The issues have changed somewhat but Logan City Council candidate Steve Thompson says he is still as anxious to serve Logan City as he was during his previous council experience almost 20 years ago.
Thompson is one of four candidates and two will be chosen by voters in the November election. The others are Amy Anderson, Paul Rogers and Jess Bradfield. The Logan business owner says he is still proud of the progress made during his first time on the council.
The Cache Metropolitan Planning Organization was created and important work was started on Logan’s Main Street. He says more needs to be done now to maintain a quality of life.
“How do we approach our neighborhoods through our zoning and through our ordinances?” Thompson asks. “How do we fund and approach our traffic and follow the traffic plan that we instigated so many years ago?
“And also, all of those things relate to air quality and, really, our sense of community and how we approach our neighbors in the county, the other cities that are experiencing tremendous growth?”
Thompson says he would like to discuss other goals with interested residents. His website is stephenthompson2112.com.
