All too often election times become ugly times with members of political parties saying bad things about the opposite party and the people who belong to those parties. A couple of local politicians hope to help change that kind of rhetoric.
Casey Snider, chairman of the Cache County Republican Party, was a guest on KVNU’s For the People program Tuesday and said he has become acquainted with Cache Democratic Party Chairman Danny Beus. He said they have found a lot to like about each other.
In fact, he said they decided to co-sponsor the first annual Blue and Red softball game that will take place Thursday, August 17 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Ridgeline High School in Millville.
“I really just hope that this is a beginning of good things in the valley,” Snider said. “I hope people will come out and help us out on Thursday donate to the (Cache Community Food) Pantry and the girls softball team to raise a little money for next season.”
Snider said each team will be a mix of Democrats and Republicans and he invites everyone to attend.
