Logan City voters only have a few days left to mail in primary ballots

There are currently four candidates for Logan City mayor and 10 candidates for Logan City Council, but those numbers will be reduced after the August 15 primary election.

Logan City Recorder Teresa Harris says next Tuesday registered voters will be choosing two candidates for mayor and four candidates for council.

“They have to be postmarked by Monday, August 14th to be counted on August 15th,” Harris explains. “But people can also bring them to city hall on August 15th.

“We’ll have a voter assistance center open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the 15th here at city hall where people can drop off their ballot, if they still have not received a ballot or if they have a question or anything regarding their ballot they can come in and talk with someone.”

Harris says the election results will be announced that evening at Logan City Hall. Candidates for mayor are Holly Daines, Hayden Eugene Nieslen, Brian Seamons and Kyle Barney.

Those running for city council are Emmanuel Herrera, Keith Schnare, Richard Steele, Paul Borup, Jess Bradfield, Amy Anderson, Paul Rogers, Steve Thompson, Jens CK Trautvein and April Mortensen.
