He hasn’t started his junior year of high school yet, but a former Logan High basketball player has committed to play for the University of Utah. Rylan Jones, who is rated by Scout.com as the No. 1 point guard in the state, took to social media to make the announcement.
Jones spent his freshman season at Logan when his dad Chris Jones was a member of the Utah State University coaching staff. When his father took a job with the University of Utah basketball program in 2016, Rylan Jones transferred to Olympus.
He will join the team after his senior season in 2019. He also held offers from Utah State and BYU.
