Public meeting regarding future of fairgrounds to be held during Cache County Fair

LOGAN – When Craig Buttars took over as the Cache County Executive he said the renovation of the fairgrounds was one of his top priorities. Now that wish is on its way and Buttars said he couldn’t be happier.

By the time the 2017 Cache County Fair opens August 10, construction plans will be in place for a new Events Center at the Fairgrounds. Buttars said crews have been busy getting rid of what is old and preparing for the new. He said the public will learn more about the plans at a meeting during the Fair.

“We have scheduled a groundbreaking for the Events Building and that will be on August 17, which is a Thursday, and that will be at 11 a.m.” Buttars said. “The public is invited to that if they’d like to come. Soon thereafter we will begin demolitions on the exisiting buildings and the work there on the site to construct an additional building.”

You can learn more about Cache County’s future plans for the Fairgrounds on KVNU’s “For the People” program Wednesday August 2 at 4 p.m.
