Utah State Athletics Announces Kickoff Times for Five Football Games This Fall

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State Athletics announced on Tuesday kickoff times for five of its upcoming football games for the 2017 season.

Utah State’s Mountain West opener at San José State on Saturday, Sept. 23, will kick off at 5:30 p.m. (MT), while conference home games against Colorado State on Saturday, Oct. 7, and Wyoming on Saturday, Oct. 14, will both begin at 2:30 p.m. Furthermore, USU’s MW road game at UNLV on Saturday, Oct. 21, will kick off at 4 p.m. (MT), while its conference road game at New Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 4, will begin at 3:30 p.m. (MT).

Utah State’s home opener against Idaho State on Thursday, Sept. 7, will kick off at 6 p.m., while its home finale against Hawai’i on Saturday, Nov. 18, will begin in the afternoon with an exact kickoff time to be announced in the coming weeks.

Utah State begins the 2017 season at Wisconsin on Friday, Sept. 1, in a game that will be nationally televised on ESPN at 7 p.m. (MT). Following its home opener against Idaho State, USU plays at Wake Forest on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 1 p.m. (MT) in a game that will be streamed live on the ACC Network.

Following its road game at San José State on Sept. 23, Utah State returns home for three-straight weeks as it hosts BYU on Friday, Sept. 29, in a game that will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network at 6 p.m., followed by home games against Colorado State and Wyoming the next two Saturdays, with the Wyoming game also serving as Homecoming Weekend.

Following its road game at UNLV on Oct. 21, Utah State hosts Boise State on Saturday, Oct. 28, in a game that will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network at 8 p.m. Following its home game against the Broncos, USU plays at New Mexico on Nov. 4.

Utah State’s bye week will occur during the second Saturday in November, prior to its final two games of the regular season as it hosts Hawai’i on Saturday, Nov. 18, and concludes conference play and the regular season at Air Force on Saturday, Nov. 25, in a game that will be televised by one of the ESPN networks.

Additional 2017 broadcasts by AT&T SportsNet (formerly ROOT Sports), the Mountain West Network on Stadium (formerly Campus Insiders) and Spectrum (formerly OC Sports in Hawaii) will be announced in the coming weeks.

Overall, Utah State will face nine teams who played in bowl games in 2017 as five of USU’s 2017 opponents recorded at least nine wins a year ago, while nine of its opponents had at least seven victories.

The 2017 schedule will play out over 14 weeks, concluding on Saturday, Dec. 2, with the Mountain West Football Championship Game to be played at the home stadium of the highest-ranked of the two divisional champions.

The 2017 Mountain West football membership includes Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, New Mexico, Utah State and Wyoming in the Mountain Division and Fresno State, Hawai’i, Nevada, San Diego State, San José State and UNLV in the West Division.
