Utahn Griff Neilson is a Fitness Mindset Expert and author of a recent book, “Exorcising Your Excuses” which he says examines what keeps us from living as healthy as we should.
He said his speciality is helping people get past the mental blocks that prevent them for eating healthy and getting in shape.
“It comes down to four factors,” he said. ”First, is movement, how we move our mind and body. There is a lot of science in the book that shows when we exercise formally we start to change the chemistry of the brain. Neurotransmitters start to change.
“Secondly, in the book we focus on nutrition, what kind of foods are we taking in? Because we truly are what we eat.
“Third is the quiet aspect, or spiritual aspect of our lives. It includes finding something in your life that resonates with you personally on a spiritual level.
“The fourth part is our happiness quotient or our happiness factor. Are we happy people with a vision or a hope?”
He said it comes down to understanding those four factors.
“We asked why not write a book that will show and guide readers and bring in a holistic aspect so we’re not just focusing on one element. I wanted to bring it together for the reader and bring it into a holistic scope.”
