LOGAN — He’s been there before and now Logan businessman Steve Thompson hopes to once again be a member of the Logan Municipal Council. Thompson previously served three terms on the council, but stepped down when his work took him out of the city.

Thompson is the owner of On Tour Pictures, a media production company. While on the council earlier, he was supportive of and also instrumental in the merging of emergency services between Logan City and Cache County.

“You know, they tried for years and that was an issue that was difficult,” he said, “but, you know, we brought all of the voices together and we came up with a workable plan, and from my talks with some of the community leaders, it’s been very successful and has been really a great asset to everyone that lives here in the valley.”

Thompson said he believes Logan City is doing well both financially and otherwise. He is please there is a general plan, which is soon to be updated. Thompson is one of ten candidates who have filed for two available council seats.
