The couple started the company in their two-bedroom apartment 14 years ago and steadily grew it to become a recognized maker of luxury sleep products. “This is a huge honor and a bit of a surprise, to be honest,” Sam Malouf said. “This award and our success wouldn’t be possible without the people that come to work every day and bring their best attitudes and ideas. I owe the Malouf team a huge thank you for ensuring that work is always meaningful and fun.”

In receiving the award, Sam Malouf joins three decades of innovative and successful CEOs honored for their leadership, including Howard Schultz of Starbucks Coffee Company, Pierre Omidyar of eBay, Inc., Hamdi Ulukaya of Chobani, and James Park of Fitbit.
