This Saturday will be the final day of the Smithsonian Exhibition at the Hyrum Museum.
The last two days to view the traveling Smithsonian Exhibition “The Way We Worked” at the Hyrum City Museum will be Thursday, May 11th from 12-6 p.m. and Saturday, May 13th from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Hyrum’s Hydro-Electric Power Plant in Blacksmith Fork Canyon will be open to public touring on Wednesday, May 10th from 6-8 p.m. Hyrum City Power Superintendent Matt Draper will briefly present on the history of electricity in Hyrum at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn more about how water is turned into electricity. The plant is about five miles from the mouth of the canyon, just follow the signs.
May is Utah’s Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month and the Hyrum City Museum is celebrating by offering guided tours of Historic Hyrum on Saturday, May 13th. Tours will depart from the museum at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, so call or email to reserve you seat today!
